May 18th, 2023 "Safer Roads" Presentation at Portsmouth Public Library
May 5, 2023
The Portsmouth NH Police Department is proud to announce the presentation of “Safer Roads” at the Portsmouth Public Library on May 18th, 2023, at 5 P.M. The “Safer Roads” presentation covers updated motor vehicle laws and “what to do” when pulled over by the police. There will be time after the presentation to meet with officers and ask questions.
This presentation is in partnership with the NH Office of Highway Safety. The goal is to spread the highway safety message as an educator, mentor, and community guardian, which we hope will work to save lives. With this presentation we hope to reach everyone, including new drivers, experienced drivers, and new to New Hampshire drivers, to name a few.
Portsmouth Police Chief Mark D. Newport was quoted as saying, “We want to educate and engage with the public in the classroom instead of on the side of the road to make roads safer for everyone”.
The Portsmouth Police Department would like to thank the NH Office of Highway Safety for their partnership, as well as the Portsmouth Public Library for making the space available.
Please join us on May 18th at 5 P.M. in the Levenson Room at the Portsmouth Public Library. Please follow us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/portsmouthnhpd) for future presentation announcements.
