School Threat

On the evening of May 20, 2019, the Portsmouth Police department was made aware of a threatening statement made on a juvenile’s Snapchat social media account. A student from the Portsmouth Middle School posted a picture of a Middle School stairway with the caption “who wants to shoot up the school tomorrow?”

 

The police department immediately made contact with the student and their family. The Middle School has taken administrative action, and a criminal investigation is ongoing at this time.
