Subject Arrested on Multiple Charges Stemming From Domestic Dispute

Shortly before 1:00 AM on August 5th, Portsmouth Police were dispatched to the parking lot of the Quality Inn at 1190 Lafayette Road for a reported motor vehicle crash. A vehicle had crashed into two parked vehicles in the lot, causing extensive damage.

Investigating officers on scene determined the crash was the result of a domestic dispute that occurred in the parking lot. During the dispute, the male operator of the vehicle lost control causing the crash. The lone male operator was identified as;

Bounthanome Chanphouang

49 years of age

Dover, NH

Further investigation determined the dispute involved Chanphouang, a female party and a male party. Once officers determined causation of the crash and took statements from all parties involved, Chanphouang was arrested and charged with;

Domestic Violence – Criminal Threatening (Felony)

Reckless Conduct (Felony)

Domestic Violence – Criminal Threatening (Misdemeanor)

Criminal Threatening – (Misdemeanor)

Reckless Operation – (Violation)

Criminal Mischief – (Misdemeanor)

There were no reported injuries to any party involved. Chanphouang was held and is scheduled to be arraigned on charges through the Rockingham County Superior Court on today’s date.
