Boston Bruins Trip
Join the Recreation Department for a trip watch the Boston Bruins v Seattle Kraken at the TD Garden! Residents $125 | Nonresidents $130.
5:00pm game. Cost includes roundtrip transportation and a ticket to the game.
Trip is open to all ages, but those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The bus departs the Senior Center at 125 Cottage St. at 3:00pm and returns apx 9:30pm

New York City Holiday Shopping Trip
Join the Recreation Department for a trip to the Big Apple! The Tree at Rockafeller Center is scheduled to go up the week before the trip so you'll be able to see some of the famous NYC holiday decorations. We will be taking a coach bus, complete with wifi, power at every seat, and a restroom on board. Leaving early from Portsmouth, we arrive in midtown Manhattan in the late morning, giving you until dinner time to spend the day shopping, sightseeing, taking in a show, visiting museums, or try some of everything.
Cost includes roundtrip transportation and all gratuities. Residents $95 | Nonresidents $105.
Trip is open to all ages, but those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The bus departs the Senior Center at 125 Cottage St. at 5:30am and departs New York at 7:00pm.

Kids shoot FOWL shots to try to bring home a Thanksgiving surprise.

Event is free, but we ask everyone to bring donations for our annual food drive. No-preregistration required.
Frozen at the Music Hall with Portsmouth Rec
Join us for a magical field trip to see The Music Hall’s 2024 holiday show, Frozen.
- Wednesday, November 27 at 1:30pm - OPENING SHOW! *as of 10/4 there at 18 seats left.
- Family Friendly Trip. No school that day so perfect for a family trip to kick off the holiday season. $30 includes transportation from Community Campus & center balcony seat. Frozen sing-a-long on bus!
- 100 tickets and 2 busloads of Frozen fans will be attending!

Every year Santa asks the Rec Department to be his mail carrier. We love the responsibility! The more personalized your letter to Santa, the more personal his response can be. FREE!
Mail letters to 100 Campus Drive, or drop off in Santa's mailbox at the Community Campus or Connie Bean.
December 1-20. Don't forget to include return address so Santa knows where to mail his reply!
Portsmouth Illuminated Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting

The Portsmouth Holiday Parade is an annual favorite for people across the seacoast! The parade takes place each year on the 1st Saturday of December. The event is free and open to all. The evening begins in Market Square with the Mayor and City Council hosting the Tree Lighting Ceremony from 5:00-5:30pm. The parade then kicks off at 6:00pm and marches down Islington St., arriving in Market Square approximately 20-30 minutes later.
Following the parade is the Chamber's Shop & Stroll event where downtown shops and streets stay closed until 9:00pm for people to shop, eat and stroll their way through town.

Boston Pops Holiday Concert Trip
Make your season merry and bright. Holiday Pops is the place to be for family fun, your favorite holiday tunes, and a special visit from Santa!

Be My Valentine Dance
Walk the family down the red carpet to your photo shoot and then dance the night away with the DJ spinning your favorite hits. Come dressed to impress and in your dancing shoes.

Tree of Love 2025
Portsmouth’s annual tribute to the love we have for our community! Let’s show ourselves, each other, and our community some love as we decorate the tree in Market Square with Valentines. Create your own or use our templates.
Valentines can be dropped off or mailed to Community Campus, 100 Campus Drive, Portsmouth.
Hearts available online, at the senior center or at the campus as of January 10.
Deadline to submit heart is Monday, February 10.
Hearts hung on the tree between February 12 and February 14.
Boston Celtics Trip
Join the Recreation Department for a trip to see the World Champion Boston Celtics take on the Miami Heat at the TD Garden!
The price of the ticket includes a seat in the balcony level, coach bus transportation to and from Boston and all gratuities.
This trip is open to all ages. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The bus will depart from the Senior Activity Center at 125 Cottage St., Portsmouth.
