The New Hampshire Department of Safety released informational bulletins with regards to Smoke Alarm Device Requirements and Carbon Monoxide Detection Devices. You can view and download these bulletins below.
The purpose of the bulletin is to provide information as to the current requirements for smoke alarms in single-family dwellings as well as multi-unit dwellings and rental units.
The Fire Prevention Bureau performs annual and other required life safety inspections of apartments, places of assembly, schools, day care facilities, and other locations throughout the city. We also perform plans review and permits are required for the following:

The City of Portsmouth's Emergency Management Organization (EMO) establishes policy, plans and procedures to insure the safety of the citizens of Portsmouth in the event of a large-scale emergency. This includes adequate inventories of emergency management supplies, and training City staff in their roles in the City's Emergency Management Team. The mission of the EMO has expanded recently as we prepare for potential pandemics and other large scale public health emergencies, working cooperatively with the Health, Police, Public Works, and School departments.
