City of Portsmouth Announces Event Parking & Free Shuttle for Sail Portsmouth
July 25, 2023Sail Portsmouth welcomes a parade of tall ships and flotilla of other vessels to Portsmouth on Thursday, July 27 starting at 6:15 pm. Two of the tall ships will then be open for ticketed public tours on Friday, July 28 through Monday July 31, between 10 am and 5 pm, at the Portsmouth Commercial Fish Pier, at 1 Peirce Island Road, across from Prescott Park.

The Municipal Election filing period opens Monday, August 28, 2023, and ends on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

City of Portsmouth NH Moves to Acquire Parcel for Drinking Water Source Protection
July 13, 2023At its July 10, 2023 meeting the Portsmouth City Council voted to approve a resolution to purchase a conservation easement to protect water quality on a property adjacent to the Bellamy Reservoir. Protecting the Bellamy Reservoir and its watershed is critical to maintaining water supply quality for the long-term in the Portsmouth Water System and the City has identified and ranked 15 adjacent parcels for protection. The Reservoir is the primary supply of fresh water treated at the City’s Madbury Water Treatment Facility and delivered to communities in the seacoast region.
