The Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Committee on Sustainable Practices, in collaboration with the Seacoast Renewable Energy Initiative (SEAREI).

On 09/19/2021, the Portsmouth Police Department responded to 565 Islington St, Sunoco Gas Station, for a report of a robbery.  At approximately 2:40 pm, a male entered the store and walked behind the counter demanding money. The male immediately began to assault the clerk before leaving the store. The clerk sustained minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital. 

Eversource invites property owners, residents and businesses along Little Harbor Road to attend a public coordination meeting on Thursday, September 23 at 6:30 pm. City Manager Karen Conard has named Peter Britz as the Interim Acting Director of the Planning Department, following the departure of Juliet Walker.

Recognized nationally for their expertise in protecting municipal drinking water supplies and systems, the City of Portsmouth Department of Public Works Water Division received the Distinguished Public Involvement Award from the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) “for outstanding achievements, leadership, commitment and support of professional, proactive public relations efforts.” The award was presented during the NEWWA annual meeting, September 7-10, 2021.
