Robbery
September 20, 2021On 09/19/2021, the Portsmouth Police Department responded to 565 Islington St, Sunoco Gas Station, for a report of a robbery. At approximately 2:40 pm, a male entered the store and walked behind the counter demanding money. The male immediately began to assault the clerk before leaving the store. The clerk sustained minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital.
Eversource to Hold Public Coordination Meeting Sep 23 for Little Harbor Road Tree Removal

New England Water Works Association Presents Public Outreach Award to DPW Water Division
September 14, 2021Recognized nationally for their expertise in protecting municipal drinking water supplies and systems, the City of Portsmouth Department of Public Works Water Division received the Distinguished Public Involvement Award from the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) “for outstanding achievements, leadership, commitment and support of professional, proactive public relations efforts.” The award was presented during the NEWWA annual meeting, September 7-10, 2021.
