Portsmouth, New Hampshire – The Department of Public Works announces that in conjunction with the ongoing Peirce Island Wastewater Treatment Facility upgrade a routine inspection of the Peirce Island Road Bridge will be conducted on Monday, November 25th. This work involves a visual inspection of components of the bridge including the superstructure, deck, railing system and above-water portions of the abutments and piers.

City Hall, the Department of Public Works, Library and Senior Activity Center will be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th in recognition of Thanksgiving.

The Indoor Pool will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th.

Due to unforeseen construction delays, the City has authorized work on the Islington Street Corridor Project this Saturday, November 16 and the following Saturday, November 23, as weather permits.  The hours of construction (7 am to 6 pm) and one-way traffic pattern (between Bartlett Street and Aldrich Road in the westerly/outbound direction) will be the same as for regular weekday work.
