Homeless Veterans Winter Outreach

The Department of Veterans Affairs will host an outreach event for homeless veterans on Tuesday, January 7 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Portsmouth Public Library. Services offered include:
On December 16, the City Council voted to allow free parking at all downtown, on-street parking meters from Tuesday, December 17th through Thursday, December 26th. While parking is free for these 10 days, time limits and any snow parking bans will still be enforced.
In anticipation of the need for plowing city streets as the current snowstorm winds down, a parking ban starts going into effect starting at 8 pm. Parking ban on downtown streets starting at 1 am. Residents are reminded they can park in the Foundry Place Garage for the flat rate of $3 or the High Hanover Garage for the flat rate of $5, starting at 8 pm.
