DPW Hosts Greenleaf Avenue-Lafayette Road Intersection & Sidewalks Project Public Meeting

The City of Portsmouth Department of Public Works (DPW) hosts a public meeting for the Greenleaf Avenue – Lafayette Road Intersection and Sidewalks Project on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 6 pm in the DPW Training Room, 680 Peverly Hill Road in Portsmouth. Members of the public who wish to participate via Zoom must register in advance. 

City staff have met with the Parking & Traffic Safety Committee (PTSC) and residents of the neighborhood to share details on the project and solicit input on project requirements and opportunities. The PTSC considered Greenleaf Avenue at their meeting on August 1, 2024 and discussed exploring the possibility of converting a portion of the roadway between Lafayette Road and the Route 1 Bypass to one-way traffic as part of the planned DPW sidewalk construction project. PTSC referred the idea back to staff for evaluation and report back and asked staff to schedule this public meeting on the sidewalk project.
